Paw and Fur Hunting
Grizzly Adams runs the Paw and Fur Hunting Elite, the classic Killing in the Name of... quest line. Join his society, take hunting tasks, climb the ranks for better trade and travel, and earn the right to face 35 bosses in their hideouts.
| Say | What it does |
| join | Become a member of the Paw and Fur Hunting Elite. |
| task | Lists the hunting tasks you can take right now. |
| task name, then yes | Starts that task, for example crocodiles. |
| status | Shows your kill count on every running task. |
| report | Hands in finished tasks and reports slain bosses. |
| cancel | Drops a running task. Its kill count starts over. |
| rank | Shows your Paw & Fur points and rank. |
| bosses | Spends a boss point on a boss hunt of your choice. |
| special task | Trophy Hunters only: Tiquanda's Revenge, then Demodras. |
| trade | Buys trophies and creature products, depending on your rank. |
- You can run up to 3 tasks at once, and repeat each task up to 3 times.
- A task is only offered inside its level range (see the table below).
- Your quest log shows every task's kill count and every boss hunt.
Most tasks pay Paw & Fur points. Your rank follows your points, and higher ranks open more of Grizzly's trade and new travel.
| Rank | Points | Unlocks |
| Member | 0 | Hunting tasks. |
| Huntsman | 10 | Grizzly buys creature products and common trophies. |
| Ranger | 20 | Lorek in Port Hope sails you to Banuta, Chor and the mountain pass. |
| Big Game Hunter | 40 | Grizzly buys bonebeast, deer, lion, orc and wolf trophies. |
| Trophy Hunter | 70 | Grizzly buys behemoth, demon and dragon lord trophies. Special tasks open. |
| Elite Hunter | 100 | The Demons task: slay 6,666 demons for the holy icon (once). |
Many tasks have a boss tied to them. Finishing such a task unlocks a hunt for its boss.
- Finish the task and report it. Grizzly tells you about the boss and where it hides.
- Find the hideout and step through its portal. The boss appears, and you have 10 minutes to kill and loot it before you are sent back out.
- Return to Grizzly and say report. The hunt is complete and you earn the boss's achievement.
- Each hideout holds one hunter at a time. If someone is inside, come back later.
- Died, or left without the kill? Report to Grizzly and the portal lets you in once more.
- The portal only opens for hunters who earned the hunt; the bosses no longer roam their rooms.
Finish a task again while its boss hunt is still open and you earn a boss point instead. Say bosses to Grizzly to spend it on any boss you have not got open, within your level range:
| Your level | Bosses you can choose |
| Below 50 | The Snapper, Hide, Deathbine, The Bloodtusk |
| 50+ | The above, plus Shardhead, Esmeralda, Fleshcrawler, Ribstride, The Bloodweb |
| 80+ | The above, plus Thul, The Old Widow, Hemming, Tormentor, Flameborn, Fazzrah, Tromphonyte, Sulphur Scuttler, Bruise Payne |
| 130+ | The above, plus The Many, The Noxious Spawn, Gorgo, Stonecracker, Leviathan, Kerberos, Ethershreck, Paiz the Pauperizer, Bretzecutioner, Zanakeph |
Once you are a Trophy Hunter (70 points), say special task. Grizzly first sends you after Tiquanda's Revenge, somewhere in the jungle. Report the kill and ask again for Demodras, whose hideout lies under the Plains of Havoc.
