Three barbarian trials in Svargrond: drink ten sips of mead in a row, hug a bear you have knocked out with ale, and shove a mammoth while drunk. Passing makes you an Honorary Barbarian, and that is the ticket to Svargrond citizenship and Buddel's ice-island boats.
Sven stands by the mead bucket at 32202, 31154, 7. Bring a honeycomb.
He takes the honeycomb and fills the bucket. Use the bucket at 32201, 31154, 7 until you manage ten sips in a row – every sip has one chance in five of knocking you out and resetting the count. You get about twenty sips per honeycomb; if the bucket tells you to ask Sven for another round, say mead → yes again with a fresh honeycomb.
Say mead to Sven again: he gives you a mead horn. Fill it on the bucket, walk to the sleeping bear north of town at 32253, 31049, 5, use the full horn on it and then use the unconscious bear to hug it. Touching it while it is awake only gets you clawed. Back at Sven: hug.
Get drunk – three mugs of beer from Dankwart in the tavern at 32201, 31161, 7 will do – then use the mammoth at 32154, 31028, 5 while the drunk condition is still on you. Report to Sven with mammoth and you are an Honorary Barbarian.
